About the Papa Yo! One(1) Minute Competition

The Papa Yo! Competition is an initiative of thee ‘Movies n’ Makers Club of the Film and Folklore Festival. It provides citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to tell a one-minute short film or animation, and win fantastic prizes in the process.

The theme for this year’s challenge is ‘Papa Yo’ and encourages entrants to create a piece of fiction that includes a local slang or patois phrase. Submitted films can be animated or live-action – funny or serious. Films will be featured on the Film and Folklore social platforms. Winning films will be awarded prizes.

DEADLINE SUNDAY MARCH 5TH, 2023. MIDNIGHT. FOR MORE INFORMATION, READ THE COMPETITION RULES HERE. OR THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS HERE.

The Movies n’ Makers Club is an arm of the Film and Folklore Festival dedicated to community development and film engagement.
